Pedro was a great help in helping me understand how to maintain speed and helped me understand little basics of driving
Debrah was phenomenal in teaching me methods of maintaining, how to build confidence in my driving, and how to be a overall better observer.
David was a great help in my confidence with myself and on my braking - we went over a lot in little time with his straight to the point style
Debra didn’t just stop at teaching—she also personally walked us through the DMV process, making sure everything went smoothly. She got us in and out as quickly as anyone possibly can at the DMV, which was such a huge relief.
We’re so grateful for her professionalism, kindness, and expertise. Highly recommend Debra to anyone looking for the best driving instructor out there!
Even after getting my license, Debra didn’t just disappear — she’s still been there for me, helping me navigate real-world driving situations and giving me advice whenever I’ve needed it. She’s literally the reason I’m not scared to be on the road, she taught me so many other skills that I use every single day. Her support didn’t stop at the test — she truly cares.
Pedro was also super helpful in my early stages. He helped lay the foundation when I was still figuring out the basics and always kept things chill and encouraging.
Luke also deserves a big shoutout for helping me with all the paperwork and admin stuff. Whether it was scheduling or handling DMV questions, he was always quick, professional, and made sure everything went smoothly on the back end so I could focus on learning to drive.
I’m beyond grateful for this team, especially Debra. If you’re looking for someone who will make driving make sense, keep you calm, and actually support you beyond just the test, ask for her. She’s the reason I’m a confident driver today.
I had tried three different driving schools before finding this one, and let me tell you — it’s rough out there. Most were disorganized, rushed, or made me feel more anxious. But with Margaret, everything changed. She brought structure, professionalism, and genuine encouragement to every single lesson.
She breaks down complex skills into simple steps, and she always knows just how to push you at the right pace. I never felt judged or rushed, only supported. Thanks to her, I passed my test and feel confident driving on my own.
This is hands down one of the best driving schools out there, and Margaret is a huge part of that. I’m so grateful I found her and will be recommending her to everyone I know!

My first time behind the wheel was with Frankie. I was nervous at first, especially since I’d never driven a Tesla, but Frankie’s guidance boosted my confidence, eased my driving anxiety, and made the experience enjoyable. Simone’s patience is unmatched, and she’s an amazing coach, especially if you want to sharpen your parking skills. Debra is super kind and helped me get comfortable driving on busy streets and highways. She’s very observant and makes sure you develop safe, proper driving habits.
On the administrative side, Luke, the office operator, made scheduling my DMV appointment quick and stress-free. Roy was incredibly friendly and reassuring when he accompanied me to my driving test. He even helped me get familiar with the test area beforehand, which made a big difference.
Thanks to this program, I also received a certificate of completion for behind-the-wheel driver’s education, which will definitely help with insurance.
NWDS has great instructors, supportive staff, and all the resources you need to become a confident driver.
What truly sets Ms. Estrada apart is her unique teaching ability. She has this amazing way of breaking things down in a way that makes everything click. In just a matter of weeks, I went from being a bundle of nerves behind the wheel to driving confidently. She made a tremendous effort to not only teach me the skills I needed but also to build my confidence every step of the way.
Thanks to her guidance, I passed my driving test on my first try, and I felt so well-prepared that the test felt like a breeze. I never imagined I would feel that way when I first started, but Ms. Estrada made it possible.
If you’re looking to learn how to drive—and learn it well and fast—I 110% recommend Ms. Margaret Estrada. She is truly the best and was made for this. I’m so grateful to have had her as my instructor!
Marisa was truly amazing—patient, calm, and incredibly clear in her instruction. From the very first lesson, she helped me feel more confident behind the wheel. She took the time to explain not just how to drive, but why things are done a certain way, which helped me truly understand the rules of the road. Her belief in me and her thoughtful guidance helped me overcome my fear of driving.
We didn't just practice around the DMV area—Marisa made sure I was comfortable driving in all kinds of real-world situations around town. Thanks to her, I now feel confident and prepared every time I get behind the wheel. All of that helped me pass the DMV road test!
If you’re feeling nervous about driving or haven’t had the best experience elsewhere, I can’t recommend Northwest Driving School enough. Marisa made all the difference for me, and I’m so grateful for everything I learned from her!
and after looking through some reviews I had my classes scheduled for the weekend, and in just two days there was so much Frankie, better known as Mr. Fopiano, had to teach us, not to mention if you take the class here you are automatically accepted to Northwest Career College and it would be a great option for anybody looking to go to medical school. Frankie is not only a good driving instructor and teacher, but he also connects with teens and has an understanding mind. It was great getting to learn the rules of the road with somebody who made it feel like it wasn’t just some boring class that you want to pass. Even if you don’t like Mr. Fopiano (which is hard not to like him) if you pay attention and take notes, his results speak for themselves.
The team at Northwest Driving School facilitates a smooth pathway to driving independence by providing comprehensive in-class drivers education (15 hours over the weekend) and personalized behind-the-wheel training with an instructor that will make your driving goals their priority. Immediately upon registration, students are completely in control of their driving school experience as they are empowered to choose a driving instructor that matches their unique learning style at a time that works for their schedule.
The students' driving experience culminates with Drive Test Vehicle Rental, Registration and Coaching ensuring the students' greatest possible chance of passing their drive test.
All requests are met by a friendly office staff and concerns are promptly attended to in a professional manner.
Absolutely do NOT hesitate to call Northwest Driving School and entrust your driving education with some of the best in the business!
I got the 10 hour package during the spring sale and had Pedro my first 2 days then Simone my last 3 days. Pedro was super encouraging and gentle with his instruction. He’s got a very simplified approach, I use his version of parking. Simone was hilarious and the quintessential mom/fun auntie type. I gave her a heart attack our first session together cus I was strung out on coffee and needed a nap, but she still taught me so much that first day. I use everything she taught me from stopping gently, turning right, how to stop at stop signs- everything but parking, I use from her.
Gotta mention Luke too- he’s not an instructor as far as I’m aware but I think he’s the owner of the school? I messed up and didn’t inform one of the instructors where I needed to be picked up from and they were across town. Rules say you have 24 hours to adjust your scheduled sessions but I called, emailed, and left chats to try and get it rescheduled and he gave me a call and reopened the scheduler without charging me extra. That saved me a ton of money right there. So thank you so much for that Luke.
I drove in 2 different locations (Sahara and Decatur) and tested at the “more difficult” location Sahara because I was on a time crunch to get my license, happy to report, I passed on my first try after having these 5 classes and about 10 hours total personally. So 20 hours total.
Note: This are the only 4 instructors that I have had so I am unable to say anything else with them but based on my experience with the 4 instructors this is all I could say, this is just my opinion which may be subjected to criticism so don't take it as a fact.
I recently passed my behind-the-wheels driving test with Northwest Driving School and I couldn’t be happier with my learning experience. Special thanks to Ms. Debra for her empathy, patience and support. The school’s approach to teaching is thorough, making one well-prepared for the test and also lots of thanks to Frankie and Roy for making each lesson enjoyable and educational.
