Rich Heinrich is the owner of Northwest Driving School and has been teaching driver’s education for 22 years. He has developed a method that will make you a safer defensive driver. Rich is certified by the Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles to teach driver’s education and Behind-the-Wheel. Along with teaching teenagers and adults, Rich has also taught professional drivers how to safely drive tractor-trailers and buses. He is a former CDL third party examiner and Safety and Training Specialist responsible for accident investigation and was in charge of the Para transit Training Department at the local bus company which, when employed there, he helped to make it the safest in the country five years in a row. He has written the re-certification program and their Training Manual, which is still in use today. Rich is certified by the Transportation Safety Institute as a Fatigue Awareness Instructor. In January 2006, Rich received the Dan Miller Lifetime Achievement Award, which is the highest honor that you can receive in the driving profession. He is in his fifth year as the President of the Nevada Professional Driving School Association.
